Since the pandemic started we've been seeing shortages of seemingly random items in the stores due to supply chain issues. Supply chain and staffing shortages will make holiday shopping a little tricky again this year. Here's what what you need to know.
Start buying now. If you find an item you love buy it because once it sells out there is a chance it won't be restocked in time for Christmas. If it's a big ticket item, delivery times might be backed up. Order online early. More people are shopping online therefore delivery services like USPS, FedEx and UPS are overloaded and most likely (like every other business) understaffed.
Expect to pay more for shipping. USPS has announced that it will temporality hike rates starting October 3rd. It's rumored that FedEx and UPS will follow their lead.
