DIY Christmas Gifts That We Love

It's the time of year when we are all trying to find the perfect gift for people who we love. We love to create so it makes sense that we give handmade gifts every year. Some of them are made by us and some are created by makers that we love. Throughout the year we use Pinterest to find products that we love and that we'd love to make. It's fun sharing our creations with links to DIY directions with you.

  • We found these DIY Peppermint Mason Jar Candles on the A Pumpkin and a Princess Blog. We suggest using a good quality peppermint essential oil like doTerra. Be generous with the drops that you use. This is an extremely inexpensive, quick and easy project and the results are so pretty!

  • We made these divine Christmas Jar Mulling Spices from the Nest of Posies Blog. They smell AMAZING and are another quick and easy project.

  • Salt Dough Ornaments are a family friendly creative project. Get the kids involved! We found this recipe on the Wee Decor Blog. If you don't want to make the dough you can use polymer clay from your favorite craft store. These ornaments are beautiful when added to Christmas wrapping and make great hostess gifts.

  • When pears were in season in September we made Autumn Cranberry Pear Jam and Salted Caramel Pear Butter. Both recipes are delicious and make great gifts! This is definitely a plan ahead gift but you can always tuck it away for next year.

Go ahead, put on some Christmas music, invite a friend or your kids and have fun making! Giving handmade gifts is so satisfying. If you have a favorite project we'd love for you to share it with us!
