I finally get to share my big secret!

Jewelry created from retired flute flutes

I'm doing a happy dance right now because I finally get to share news I've been keeping secret for MONTHS!

I am so incredibly excited and honored to announce that Hang Ups will be available at The Met Store starting June 7, 2026, offered in celebration of their upcoming exhibition "Musical Bodies", which opens at The Met on June 7 and runs through September 27, 2026.

You guys, THE MET STORE. They reached out to ME because they're curating for an exhibition about the connection between music, instruments, and the human body, and when they discovered Hang Ups they saw exactly what I've been creating for over a decade, first in my Kansas City studio and now in my Powell, Ohio studio.

I doubted what my eyes were reading when they first contacted me. But it was the real deal. This is a dream for any artist, let alone one who is self-taught. Imposter syndrome is real, friends!

Over the next two months I'll be sharing behind-the-scenes stories about this collaboration, which pieces will be featured, and what this means for our mission with Band of Angels, but for now I just wanted to celebrate this moment with all of you because so many of you have been supporting this vision from the very beginning.

If you're planning to be in New York this summer, please mark your calendar for June 7 and beyond because I would absolutely love it if you could visit The Met Store to see the collection in person and experience Hang Ups at one of the world's most iconic museum stores. I'll be visiting my son, who's going to grad school in Brooklyn, this August and you know visiting The Met is on the itinerary! I can't wait t

o see this amazing new exhibition and my work in their store with my own eyes.

Thank you for being part of this journey and for believing in what we're building here. I'm so grateful.

P.S. Could I ask you a favor? If you're able to visit the exhibition at The Met this summer, would you take a photo of yourself with my jewelry in the store and post it on Instagram? Posts like this are gold to small businesses like mine!
