Put Your Hand Up If You Love Art That Blows!

Wondering what kind of art we're talking about? First let us give you a fresh introduction to our non-profit partner, Band of Angels. Band of Angels is an organization devoted to providing instruments, scholarships and all the support that children in need and require to succeed in music. Their fearless leader and founder, Mike Meyer, is pictured above. We've partnered with them for approximately 8 years now. They change kids lives - we are proud to know this amazing team.

Band of Angels hosts two fundraisers every year; Heartstrings in February and Art That Blows in July. The sixth annual Art That Blows is coming up on July 9, 2021. Art That Blows is a casual event where the art culture of the Kansas City Crossroads combines with a high-energy party, all in support of Band of Angels. This year the party will take place at the gorgeous Abbott KC in the heart of the Crossroads Art District. Local artists have re-purposed donated, nonfunctional musical instruments into pieces of art for this ticketed event. Guests may bid on the pieces during the silent auction. Following the silent auction guests may enjoy music while overlooking the breathtaking Kansas City skyline. If you can't attend you can still bid on artwork and jewelry online! Visit ArtThatBlows.com for a livestream of the event and to bid on auction items. The auction link will appear on the site closer to the date of the event. A few days before the event you'll be able to browse auction items.

Every year we donate 30 pieces of jewelry to this event. We've donated some really fun pieces this year. You don't want to miss the art, furniture, lighting, etc - all made from retired instruments. The creativity is inspiring. All support of this amazing organization is appreciated!
